徐子屏,出生、生长于上海,1984 年自上海迁居深圳, 书屋名静远草堂。历任深圳市高等教育自学考试办公室主任, 深圳市招生考试办公室副主任,深圳市教育局职业教育与成人教育处调研员。

自幼酷爱绘画、书法,经年研习碑帖、篆刻。师从沈尹默、任政、钱君匋、刘友石等著名书法家、篆刻家,工篆、隶、行、楷。书作劲逸清隽,韵味醇厚,篆刻工稳清健,风味醇雅。书法篆刻作品入选西泠印社《首届全国篆刻作品评展》、《全国印社篆刻联展》、《首届海内外中国书画篆刻大赛》、中日《破体书法国际展》、《中国印谱》、《中国当代书法名家墨迹》、《中华全国当代书画精品选》、1978～1998《中国书法选集》、日本《书道》杂志、人民日报海外版《中华艺苑名家》专栏等等。传略已收录《: 中国当代书画家大辞典》、《当代青年书法家辞典》、《当代篆刻家大辞典》、《当代书画篆刻家大辞典》、《中国书画名家传世大辞典》等等。在中国书画函授大学建校十周年评比中被评为中国书画函授大学优秀教师。

2003 年获“海峡两岸德艺双馨艺术家”荣誉称号。2004年被当代中国书画名家精典评委会、中国书画名家纲评为中国著名金奖艺术家。2005 年 7 月中国书画家联谊会、中国书画名家作品 2005 金秋国际展组委会授予“百名中国书画名家”荣誉称号。2005 年 12 月被中国收藏学术研究会、世界文化艺术鉴定中心授予《当代中国书画收藏市场最具收藏价值艺术家>荣誉称号。

Xu Ziping was born and raised in Shanghai. In 1984, he relocated to Shenzhen, where he established his study space named Jingyuan Caotang. He has served successively as the Director of the Self-taught Examination Office of Higher Education in Shenzhen, the Deputy Director of the Admissions and Examination Office of Shenzhen, and the Researcher of the Vocational Education and Adult Education Department of the Education Bureau of Shenzhen.

Since childhood, he has had a passion for painting and calligraphy, and has devoted years to studying rubbings and seal carving. He studied under renowned calligraphers and seal carvers such as Shen Yinmo, Ren Zheng, Qian Juntao, and Liu Youshi, mastering seal, clerical script, running script, and regular script. His calligraphy works are vigorous, elegant, and have a mellow charm, while his seal carvings are steady and robust, with a mellow and elegant flavor. His calligraphy and seal carving works have been selected for exhibitions such as the "First National Seal Carving Works Exhibition" and the "National Seal Society Joint Exhibition of Seal Carvings" organized by the Xiling Seal Society, the "First Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Seal Carving Competition at Home and Abroad", the Sino-Japanese "International Exhibition of Broken Style Calligraphy", "Chinese Seal Collection", "Ink Works of Contemporary Famous Chinese Calligraphers", "Selection of Excellent Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Works", the "Chinese Calligraphy Anthology" from 1978 to 1998, Japan's "Shudao" magazine, and the "Famous Chinese Artists" column in the overseas edition of People's Daily. His biography has been included in dictionaries such as "Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters", "Dictionary of Contemporary Young Calligraphers", "Dictionary of Contemporary Seal Carvers", "Dictionary of Contemporary Calligraphers, Painters, and Seal Carvers", and "Dictionary of Famous Chinese Calligraphers and Painters". He was also awarded the title of Excellent Teacher at the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University in its tenth anniversary evaluation.

In 2003, he was awarded the honorary title of "Artist of Excellence in Morality and Artistry Across the Taiwan Strait". In 2004, he was recognized as a renowned Chinese artist with a gold medal by the Classic Evaluation Committee of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters and the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Association. In July 2005, the China Calligraphers and Painters Association and the Organizing Committee of the 2005 Autumn International Exhibition of Works by Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters awarded him the honorary title of "One of the Top 100 Chinese Calligraphers and Painters". In December 2005, he was honored by the China Collection Academic Research Association and the World Culture and Art Appraisal Center as the "Artist with the Most Collectible Value in the Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Collection Market".

He serves as the executive director of the China Art Promotion Association, the director of the China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, the professor of the Oriental Art Research Institute, the director of the World Artists Association, the vice chairman of the Art Committee of the China Calligraphy and Painting Masters Network, the executive director of the China Calligraphy and Painting Seal Research Institute, the director of the China Calligraphy and Art Association, the honorary president of the China Famous Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a member of the Art Committee of the China Calligraphy Research Institute, a member of the China Calligraphy Education Research Association, a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a member of the Guangdong Branch of the China Calligraphers Association, the vice president of the Guangdong Provincial Art Circles Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a professor at the Shenzhen Calligraphy and Painting Art Academy, the executive vice chairman of the Shenzhen Original Art Association, the vice president of the Shenzhen Seal Cutting Research Association, and a director of the Shenzhen Calligraphy Education Research Association. He is also an editorial board member of the "New Literature and Art" magazine and a consultant to the Australian Artists Association.

Mr. Xu Ziping is a renowned contemporary calligrapher and scholar, whose exploration of traditional calligraphy is extensive and profound. Based on traditional ink and brush techniques, he embraces both ancient and modern styles, drawing on the strengths of various schools and integrating his own ideas.
