肖纬,女,1944年八月生于侨乡中山,祖父辈均在南美州,1965年毕业于广州美术学院.65-80年在广西北海文化馆及电影公司工作.后调到广西彩调团工作,82年在南宁加入中国民主同盟.83年调到深圳特区报当美编及广告部主任工作,88年调到深圳市公共艺术公司至1999年退休,退休后专职画画。是广东省美术家协会会员,深圳市美术家协会会员,深圳市女画家联谊会顾问.深圳市侨媛会副会长,深圳市民盟画院顾问。早年有出版年画《妈妈出海去》,连环画《秦王李世民》(合作)等,并每年参加市及省级举办的画展,作品随中国书画家国际交流中心赴香港,阿联酋,迪拜及意大利等国家及地区巡回展出,作品随该中心赴马来西亚及意大利等地巡回展出,作品被国内外朋友收藏,10幅油画作品参加2011文博会市侨联举办的画展,油画《小河饮马》被国务院侨办主任收藏。同班同学世界性代表人物有全美油画肖像大赛金牌得主,为英皇室画肖像的陈衍宁先生,纽约著名的风景画家蔡楚夫先生以及台湾著名画家冉茂芹先生等。
70年代至今,肖纬夫妇培养了一大批学生,自77年恢复高考以来,每年都有学生考上全国各大美术院校,有四,五十人;有中国美院,清华美院,广州美院,广西艺术学院,西安美院,四川美院。早期的学生现在已经是教授和美术界的顶尖人物,其中有中国美院教授,清华大学教授;广西艺术学院教授;上海梅高广告集团公司老总,广告影视界的领军人物

Xiao Wei, female, was born in August 1944 in Zhongshan, a renowned hometown of overseas Chinese. Her ancestors resided in South America. She graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA) in 1965.
From 1965 to 1980, she worked at the Beihai Cultural Center and Film Company in Guangxi. Later, she was transferred to the Guangxi Caidiao Opera Troupe. In 1982, she joined the China Democratic League (CDL) in Nanning. In 1983, she moved to Shenzhen Special Zone Daily as an art editor and director of the Advertising Department. In 1988, she joined Shenzhen Public Art Company and retired in 1999, after which she devoted herself full-time to painting.
She is a member of the Guangdong Artists Association, member of the Shenzhen Artists Association, advisor to the Shenzhen Female Artists Association, vice president of the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Ladies Association, and advisor to the CDL Shenzhen Art Academy.
In her early career, she published the New Year picture Mom Went to Sea and the comic strip Li Shimin, Prince of Qin (collaboration). Her works have been exhibited annually at municipal and provincial art exhibitions, and toured in Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates (including Dubai), Italy, Malaysia, and other regions/countries with the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters International Exchange Center. Her works are collected by friends at home and abroad. Ten oil paintings were exhibited at the Overseas Chinese Federation’s exhibition during the 2011 China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF). Her oil painting Horses Drinking by the Stream was collected by the director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.
Her distinguished classmates from GAFA include world-renowned artists: Mr. Chen Yanning, gold medalist of the National Oil Portrait Competition and portrait painter for the British Royal Family; Mr. Cai Chufu, celebrated New York landscape painter; and Mr. Ran Maoqin, famous Taiwanese painter.
Since the 1970s, Xiao Wei and her husband have nurtured a large number of art students. Since the resumption of the national college entrance examination in 1977, 40–50 students have been admitted to top art academies nationwide, including the China Academy of Art, Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Guangxi Arts University, Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Many early students have become professors and leading figures in the art field, including professors at the China Academy of Art, Tsinghua University, and Guangxi Arts University, as well as the CEO of Shanghai Meigao Advertising Group, a pioneer in advertising and film.

2012: Oil painting Cactus Flower and other works exhibited in a teacher-student joint exhibition with Xie Kaiji in Beihai, Guangxi, invited by the Publicity Department of Beihai Municipal Party Committee, receiving strong acclaim.
2013: Oil painting Mother and Son exhibited at the China 100 Artists Exhibition in Australia, covered full-page by local newspapers.
2014: Oil painting Teenage Years exhibited at Songs of Time: Ten Senior Shenzhen Painters’ Oil Painting Exhibition at Shenzhen Art Museum, followed by a district tour.
