Li Chong, a male Han nationality from Zhenlong Town, Pingnan County, Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a senior technician at the Pingnan County Water Conservancy Bureau and has now retired. Since participating in the "Cross-Strait Peace Poetry Competition" in 2005, he has consistently won awards, including the prestigious Gold Cup for Poetic Master. He has combined traditional Chinese poetry with calligraphy, applied for and obtained a national patent for his work, and won the International Excellent Paper Award for "Talking about the Experience of Poetry Creation". His four viewpoints have laid the foundation for his creative direction: 1. Using the past for the present, writing in the old style poetry rhyme scheme to eulogize the great era of reform and opening up; 2. Using foreign culture for Chinese purposes, learning from excellent foreign cultures; 3. Inheritance and innovation, combining self-created poetry with calligraphy to create unique works; 4. Keeping pace with the times, creating works that the people will enjoy and have long-lasting vitality. He is a first-level poetry artist and participated in the judging panel for the 120th anniversary of Mao Zedong's birth. In 2014, he graduated from the Advanced Calligraphy and Painting Research Program at the School of Arts, Renmin University of China, under the guidance of mentors such as Shi Kai, Zeng Xiang, Chen Yigeng, Li Wenlong, Wu Lianjiang, Wu Dongkui, Li Sulei, and Wan Pinpin. He was invited to join the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chinese Painting Academy and was awarded the title of Honorary Academician. He is also the Chief Artist and Senior Advisor at the Royal Academy of Arts in the UK, a Senior Advisor at the Royal Academy of Arts in England, and has received the "Belt and Road National Image Person" certificate from the Chinese Culture Society and the Royal Academy of Arts in the Netherlands. He is the Honorary President of the Korean Cultural Promotion Association, the Honorary President of the Chinese Artists Runge Network, the Chinese Cultural Exchange Messenger to Libya, and the Sino-German Cultural Exchange Ambassador. He is a lifelong advisor at the Beijing Ink and Wash Painting Art Research Institute, a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a national-level intangible cultural heritage inheritor, a member of the Zhuhai Taiwanese and Taiwanese Relatives Association, the Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Research Association, and the Vice President of the China Calligraphy Art Research Institute. In 2018, he was appointed as a lifelong foreign doctor at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts. On February 28, 2019, he was appointed as a member of the Calligraphy Art Committee by the Culture and Art Management Center of the China Reform Commission. On September 24, 2019, he was specially appointed as the Executive Vice President of the China Red Culture Promotion Association. On December 12, 2020, he was awarded the honorary title of "2020 Chinese Contemporary Artist of Both Virtue and Art" at the "Meet in Bianliang City·Chrysanthemum Culture and Art Summit Forum" organized by Shandong Silk Road Cultural Development Co., Ltd. On March 13, 2021, he was specially appointed as a foreign professor of Chinese calligraphy at the Yale University School of Chinese Culture by the Yale University British Art Center. Professor Dan of Korea's Gwangju National University of Arts (China) was honored as the recipient of the "Artistic Leadership Award" by the "Ivy League Schools Alliance for Sino-US Cultural Exchange" on the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between China and the United States and the 43rd anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. He was awarded the title of "Image Ambassador for Sino-US Cultural Exchange" and appointed as a visiting professor at the Ivy League Schools Alliance in the United States. In December 2021, through the Chinese Foreign Affairs Association, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, and the United Nations Human Cultural Contribution Award Jury, he was selected as the recipient of the "United Nations Human Cultural Contribution Award" and awarded the honorary title of "United Nations Peace Artist". In February 2023, through a joint selection by the Asian Culture and Art Exchange Network, International Artists Federation, UNESCO, World Artists Exchange Center, and the Organizing Committee of the First United Nations International Art Festival Jury Award, he was selected as one of the 10 artists to receive the "First United Nations International Art Festival Jury Award" and was honored as the "Chief Artist Jury Member of the United Nations International Art Festival" and "One of the Top Ten Artistic Masters of the United Nations". The winner was appointed as the "Chief Artistic Advisor of the United Nations". In February 2023, through a joint selection by the Sino-Foreign Comprehensive Culture and Art Exchange Network, Sino-Italian Cultural Cooperation Exchange Network, UNESCO, and other units, he was selected as the winner of the "Venice International Art Golden Lion Award" and was awarded the honorary titles of "One of the Top Ten Global Leading Figures in Literature and Art" and "Italian Raphael Art Medal". He was invited to participate in the Venice International Art Biennale, China Pavilion - Global Tour of Literary and Artistic Works. In March 2023, during the "Focusing on the Two Sessions: Pioneers of the Times" National Two Sessions New Media Artists Representative Exhibition organized by the Art Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Calligraphy and Painting Room, he was honored as the "2023 National Two Sessions News Recommended Artist" for his outstanding contribution to inheriting the spirit of new-era national culture through his excellent writing and promoting the development of national culture and art. On March 20, 2023, during the "Artists' Elegance · First China Aerospace Art Award" themed literary and art selection ceremony jointly organized by the National Literature and Art Exchange Network, Dongfang Literature and History Art Publishing House, National Poetry and Calligraphy Exchange Network, and the editorial committee of the First China Aerospace Art Award, he was awarded the "Artists' Elegance · First China Aerospace Art Award" and was also honored with the titles of "China Aerospace Art Meritorious Figure" and "China's Top Ten Aerospace Artists". He was specially invited to contribute to the national large-scale aerospace poetry and calligraphy collection album "Artists' Elegance". On April 26, 2023, on the occasion of celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, the World Comprehensive Cultural Exchange Association, the U.S. Department of Education, the American Association of Universities, and other units jointly organized the "Sino-U.S. Peace Culture Lifetime Achievement Award" event. He was awarded the honorary titles of "Top Ten Most Influential Literary Artists in China", "Chief Literary Diplomat", and "Presidential Medal of Freedom and Peace", and was sincerely invited to serve as the Honorary President for Life of the American Association of Universities.
