Mou Xiaoping is from Weifang City, Shandong Province, China. He is a renowned Chinese freehand animal painter and art activist. His pseudonyms include Duoweng, Laoduo, and Laoweixianren, and his hall name is Duozhuo Hall. He serves as the director of the Mou Xiaoping Art Museum. He is a national first-level artist in fine arts and calligraphy, a painter registered with the National Copyright Administration for art works, a contracted artist of CCTV Calligraphy and Painting Channel, an art consultant for the editorial board of Art Daily, a painter for the creation of diplomatic gifts, a painter included in the "National Memory Project - Outstanding Figures in National Cultural Memory Art" database, and a visiting professor at the Oriental Art Research Center of the Royal Victoria College of Art in Canada. He was awarded the Excellent Artistic Work Medal for the 16th "Five-One Project" of the Spiritual Civilization Construction by the Central Propaganda Department. In 2024, he was honored with the "World Peace Art Contributor" medal by the Global Art Alliance. He also received the Silver Award and medal of the Andersen (International) Art Award in 2025, and won the Gold Art Award (the highest award) in the National Digital Art Exhibition (Painting Category) (Adult Group) in 2025.
